“I would love to be in a World Cup, in a Euro, a Copa America,” Guardiola said in an interview with Reuters. “I have always thought about it. But it depends on many, many things. If it happens, it’s fine. If it doesn’t happen, it’s more than fine as well.”

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Guardiola signed a new City deal until 2027 last year but recently vowed to quit if his squad got too big. Speculation may continue to mount over the ex-Bayern Munich manager's future at the Etihad, and little hints like this may suggest his time with City may end in the not-so-distant future.
